Baseball Recap: Greenville H Hurricanes vs. St. Joseph's Catholic Knights

Greenville H was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 12-7 to the St. Joseph's Catholic Knights. The Hurricanes were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Killian Budlong and Owen Giles stepped up to the plate in a big way. Budlong scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Giles went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Budlong is becoming a predictor of Greenville H's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 2-1 (and 4-7 when he doesn't). James Blackburn was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
