Basketball Recap: Desert Mountain Comes Up Short

If Desert Mountain was riding high fresh off their 61-41 takedown of Chaparral last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Desert Mountain Wolves took a hard 73-59 fall against the Campo Verde Coyotes on Thursday. The Wolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Coyotes apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.

Desert Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Campo Verde, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Desert Mountain and Horizon will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Campo Verde will take on Mountain Pointe in a holiday battle at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at.
