Lakeside piles up the points against Wallace

Recap: Lakeside Knights vs. Wallace Miners

The Lakeside Knights won the last time they faced the Wallace Miners, and things went their way on Friday too. Lakeside claimed a resounding 82-28 victory over Wallace on the road. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 43-17.

Lakeside's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyson Charley , who scored 22 points along with 6 assists and 3 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Charley has scored at least 25% of Lakeside's points. Another player making a difference was Brutis Sijohn , who scored 16 points along with 6 assists and 5 rebounds.

Wallace's loss came despite strong showings from Julian Davis and Alex Cleveland. Davis scored 16 points along with 7 rebounds, while Cleveland scored 6 points. Davis scored a full 57.1% of Wallace's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Wallace struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Lakeside racked up 33.

The victory makes it two in a row for Lakeside and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Wallace, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Lakeside will head out on the road to face off against Kellogg at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Wallace won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Coeur d'Alene Christian at 5:30 p.m. on December 2nd.
