Softball Recap: Wando Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Wando's offense. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fort Dorchester Patriots on Friday. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.

Wando is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5. As for Fort Dorchester, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wando will challenge Covenant Day at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Covenant Day knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Wando likes a good challenge. As for Fort Dorchester, they will square off against Cane Bay at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Fort Dorchester is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.6 runs per game this season.
