Football Recap: Vista Ridge Skates Past Liberty with Ease

There's no place like home for Vista Ridge, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They breezed past the Liberty Lancers to the tune of 42-7 on Friday. With the Wolves ahead 28-0 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Vista Ridge got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Daniel Mcfarland out in front who rushed for 100 yards and a pair of scores on only seven carries. Those 100 rushing yards gave Mcfarland a new career-high. Another rusher making a difference was Malachi Arnds, who rushed for 108 yards and one TD on only five carries.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Vista Ridge's defense and their four sacks. Gabe Herman refused to say out of the backfield, picking up two sacks all by himself.

Vista Ridge pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 35.0 points this season. As for Liberty, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.
