Soccer Recap: Canyon Springs Extends Winning Streak to Two

Canyon Springs barely beat Sierra Vista the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Pioneers never let the Mountain Lions get on the board and left with a 4-0 victory on Saturday. It was an even better day for Alonso Gutierrez as he scored three goals for his team.

Canyon Springs has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored nine goals over those two contests. As for Sierra Vista, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-1.

Canyon Springs wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Eldorado on the 16th. Hopefully Sierra Vista paid attention to the Pioneers' game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Pioneers at 5:45 p.m. on Monday.
