Soccer Game Preview: GREEN Upstate vs. Calhoun County

The GREEN Upstate Owls will square off against the Calhoun County Saints on Thursday. GREEN Upstate's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

GREEN Upstate gave up the first goal last Wednesday, but they didn't let that get them down. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Owls who were credited with the victory. GREEN Upstate got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to Southside Christian's four. Enzo Pleitez had the honor of scoring the game-winner for GREEN Upstate.

Calhoun County is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They never let Ware Shoals get on the board and left with a 1-0 win.

GREEN Upstate has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 40 goals over those 11 matches. As for Calhoun County, their win bumped their record up to 3-12.
