It was a good run, but Topeka unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Gardner-Edgerton Trailblazers. If the Trojans were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Trailblazers when the teams met back in September of 2018, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Gardner-Edgerton's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emma Arel, who had 13 assists and four digs. Arel is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Topeka's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Gardner-Edgerton, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-4.

Topeka didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Blue Valley Southwest on the 27th. As for Gardner-Edgerton, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Eudora on the 27th.
