STORYLINES* Westlake has a proud basketball tradition thanks in large part to Rogers. But the school's most famous alum isn't a basketball player. That would be Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton. Adam "Pacman" Jones also attended the Atlanta school.
* The Lions put together a very solid resume last season and finished just outside the national Top 25. They return the bulk of their production and yet seem to be getting a bit overlooked coming into 2016-17. With much of the hype going to Greenforest, Pebblebrook and Wheeler, don't be surprised if Westlake plays with a big chip on its shoulder.
