Baseball Recap: American Leadership Academy Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

American Leadership Academy lost to Summit Academy on Tuesday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Eagles blew past the Bears 17-7. The game marked the Eagles' most dominant win of the season.

Justus Brost was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over 5.1 innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, American Leadership Academy let Gaige Morgan and Mason Bullock run wild. Morgan got on base in four of his six plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Bullock got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four RBI, one triple, and one run. What's more, Morgan posted two hits, the most he's had since back in March. Another player making a difference was Memphis Butler, who got on base in four of his six plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

As for Summit Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 12-6 defeat against Providence Hall on the 28th.
