Basketball Recap: Coral Gables Extends Winning Streak to Four

While Coral Gables didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against the Coral Park Rams by a score of 47-38 on Wednesday. Those 47 points were actually the fewest the Cavaliers have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Coral Gables' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Dylan Janov, who posted 12 points and three steals. Janov is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexander Edghill, who put up 15 points.

The victory (which was Coral Gables' fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1. As for Coral Park, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-2.

Coming up, Coral Gables will be taking part in a tournament against Doral Academy at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Coral Park, they are taking a road trip to square off against Southwest at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
