Volleyball Recap: Payson Longhorns vs. Mesquite Wildcats
If Payson was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Alchesay last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Payson Longhorns took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mesquite Wildcats on Friday. The Longhorns were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2018.
Payson's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Mesquite, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-1.
Payson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory vs. St. Johns on the 20th. Mesquite has also already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Holbrook on the 20th.
