Norton waltzed into their game on Wednesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Millis Mohawks a 9-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-2 back in April.

Liana Danubio was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on CeeCee Goodwin, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Paige Donahue, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Norton hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in 12 consecutive contests.

Norton's record is now 18-1-1. As for Millis, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.

Norton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Millis, they will welcome West Boylston at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Lions' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Mohawks' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
