Basketball Game Preview: Erwin Warriors vs. Mountain Heritage Cougars + How To Watch

The Erwin Warriors will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Mountain Heritage Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Erwin fought the good fight in their overtime game against Pisgah on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bears by a score of 60-57. The defeat continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Bears: they've now lost seven in a row.

Meanwhile, Mountain Heritage was able to grind out a solid win over West Henderson on Tuesday, taking the game 53-44. The victory continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won five in a row.

Mountain Heritage's win came from a few key players Erwin will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Kiana Adams, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Maggie Neill was another key player, dropping a double-double with 12 points and 14 boards.

Erwin now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Mountain Heritage, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Erwin took a serious blow against Mountain Heritage when the teams last played back in December of 2021, falling 56-24. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
