The home team had won the previous two meetings between Pershing County and North Tahoe, and North Tahoe kept the tradition alive. The Pershing County Mustangs lost  15-8 to the North Tahoe Lakers on Saturday. Even though they lost, the Mustangs' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.1 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
 Ayden Montes and  Cade Liebsack did some serious damage despite the final result:  Montes  scored a  run while going 3-for-5, while  Liebsack  scored two  runs while going 1-for-3. The dominant performance also gave  Liebsack a new career-high in  RBI (two).  Jacob Henderson also deserves some recognition as  he  got his first  hits of the season.
 Even though they lost, Pershing County was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .405. That's the best  batting average they've posted all season.
Pershing County now  has a losing record of 3-4. As for North Tahoe, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with the  victory, which was their seventh straight  at home dating back to last season.
 When Pershing County and North Tahoe next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Pershing County will  challenge  West Wendover and their three-game winning streak  at 3:00  p.m.  on Friday. Meanwhile, North Tahoe will try to stop Yerington's four-game winning streak when they meet  at 2:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
