Football Game Preview: North Brunswick Scorpions vs. West Brunswick Trojans

The North Brunswick Scorpions will challenge the West Brunswick Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West Brunswick took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on North Brunswick, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, North Brunswick turned things around against Topsail on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 29-6 margin over the Pirates. The Scorpions not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since September 6, 2024 (when they won 56-0).

North Brunswick's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kane Jenrette, who rushed for 105 yards and one touchdown on only 13 carries. The Scorpions also got help from Kylel Hansley, who showed off his sure hands for 87 receiving yards.

North Brunswick's run defense was locked in: Topsail could only muster 1.8 yards per carry. The team can thank Jamar Brown for the heroic effort on defense: he. North Brunswick's ground attack was stronger, having averaged five.

Meanwhile, West Brunswick suffered their biggest loss since August 30, 2024 on Friday. They were dealt a 34-7 defeat at the hands of Hoggard. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Trojans' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

North Brunswick's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for West Brunswick, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.
