Basketball Recap: Clay Takes a Loss

Clay suffered their biggest loss since January 3, 2025 on Tuesday. They lost 67-41 to the Central Catholic Fighting Irish. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Fighting Irish recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Clay's defeat dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Central Catholic, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 14-2.

Clay and Central Catholic should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Eagles (ranked 116th) will meet Ross (ranked 658th) at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Central Catholic will challenge Findlay at 7:15 p.m. on the 17th with a big rank advantage (4 vs. 446).
