Ferndale and Blacklick Valley are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2021, but not for long. The Ferndale Yellow Jackets will welcome the Blacklick Valley Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Ferndale is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest defeat since January 26, 2024 on Thursday. They were beaten by Turkeyfoot Valley Area 79-34. The Yellow Jackets have struggled against the Rams recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Blacklick Valley took their contest last Monday with ease, bagging a 59-31 victory over Meyersdale. With that win, the Vikings brought their scoring average up to 50 points per game.

Blacklick Valley's win came from a few key players Ferndale will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Greg Schilling, who went 8-for-18 on his way to 22 points. Eli Sheesley was another key player, going 7-for-11 en route to 17 points along with six boards and four steals.

Ferndale's loss dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Blacklick Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 12-10 record this season.
