Baseball Game Preview: Blue Mountain Bucks vs. Proctor Phantoms

The Blue Mountain Bucks will face off against the Proctor Phantoms at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Blue Mountain is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Poultney a 13-0 shutout. Winning may never get old, but the Bucks sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Meanwhile, Proctor was not the first on the board on Wednesday, but they got there more often. Everything went their way against West Rutland as they made off with a 14-5 victory.

Proctor got a massive performance out of Aaron Brock, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Griffin Pomeroy was another key player, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with five RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Proctor always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .574. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Proctor now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Blue Mountain, their win bumped their record up to 11-2.

Everything went Blue Mountain's way against Proctor in their previous matchup back in May, as Blue Mountain made off with a 13-1 victory. Do the Bucks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Phantoms turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
