Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Citrus Valley). They came out on top against the Yucaipa Thunderbirds by a score of 38-26 on Friday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Blackhawks as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Dominic Robles was the offensive standout of the contest as he threw for 282 yards and four touchdowns while completing 81% of his passes. Sebastian Carrillo was Robles' top target, picking up 38 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Despite the loss, Yucaipa still got an impressive performance from Logan Barbour, who rushed for 114 yards and two touchdowns. Barbour's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 114 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Citrus Valley's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Yucaipa, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.
