Basketball Recap: Pine Plains Takes a Loss

Pine Plains came up into this matchup off a tough 33-point loss on Monday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Ellenville Blue Devils by a score of 64-61 on Tuesday. The Bombers have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.

Ellenville found their leader in sophomore Nevaeh Ramos, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 12 boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ramos has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Tawanya Harrington, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Pine Plains' loss dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Ellenville, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Pine Plains has already played their next contest (against Rhinebeck), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Ellenville and Spackenkill will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played. Ellenville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.6 points per game this season.
