Volleyball Recap: Muncie Central Comes Up Short

Muncie Central saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell just short of the Mississinewa Indians by a score of 2-1.

Muncie Central's offense was headlined by Chloe Miller and Kendall Kahle, who picked up ten kills apiece. They got some help from Grace Walker and her 24 assists. Miller also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Joslyn Sutton, each putting up three.

Mississinewa's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ashlyn Baker led the charge by getting ten digs and three assists. Another player making a difference was Jaeli Miller, who had six digs and three aces.

Muncie Central's defeat dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Mississinewa, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season.

Muncie Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Muncie Burris on the 7th. As for Mississinewa, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Pendleton Heights on the 7th.
