Preview: Kingwood Mustangs vs. Strake Jesuit Fighting Crusaders
The Kingwood Mustangs will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Strake Jesuit Fighting Crusaders at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
After a string of three wins, Kingwood's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They received a tough blow as they fell 56-41 to Silsbee. While losing is never fun, Kingwood can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 459th, while Silsbee is ranked 225th).
Meanwhile, Strake Jesuit took a serious blow against St. Mary's on Saturday, falling 78-47. Strake Jesuit has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Kingwood's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-6. As for Strake Jesuit, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.
