Basketball Recap: South Vermillion Takes a Loss

South Vermillion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 34th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Covington Trojans, falling 75-18. The Wildcats lost against the Trojans in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 50-21 score last time.

South Vermillion's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Covington, they moved to 4-9 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the South Vermillion Wildcats challenge the Marshall Lions at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Covington, they will be home for the holidays to greet Fountain Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
