Granada and Walsh are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2017, but not for long. Having just played yesterday, the Granada Bobcats will head out on the road to face off against the Walsh Eagles at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Walsh took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Granada, who comes in off a win.

On Friday, Granada earned a 52-44 win over Eads. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bobcats.

Granada's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Maddox Coleman, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 boards. That makes it six consecutive games in which Coleman has scored at least a third of Granada's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sebastian Pizarro, who went 5 for 10 to rack up 14 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Meanwhile, Walsh was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. The game between them and Springfield didn't end well, with Walsh falling 63-48.

Despite the loss, Walsh saw an underclassman step up: freshman Hudson Gourley posted 17 points. Jaxson Frazee also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Granada pushed their record up to 9-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.6 points over those games. As for Walsh, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.

Granada beat Walsh 56-48 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Granada since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
