Basketball Recap: Hector Comes Up Short

After flying high against Shirley last Saturday, Hector came back down to earth. The Hector Wildcats took a 52-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hackett Hornets. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their loss to the Hornets from their previous meeting back in January of 2020.

Hector has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season. As for Hackett, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 7-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hector will head out to take on Danville at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Hackett, they will challenge Mountainburg at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
