Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fort Wayne Canterbury). Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Fort Wayne HomeSchool Hawks a 14-0 shutout on Thursday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Cavaliers considering their two-run performance the game before.

Fort Wayne Canterbury let Reed Hayes and Noah Hayes run wild. Reed went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Noah went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most RBI Noah has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Landgraf, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

Fort Wayne Canterbury has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. As for Fort Wayne HomeSchool, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Fort Wayne Canterbury is taking a road trip to take on Angola at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Hornets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.58 runs per game on average), something the Cavaliers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
