            Volleyball Recap: North Myrtle Beach Chiefs vs. Wando Warriors        
        
		
        
        
            North Myrtle Beach faced Wando in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Chiefs fell  2-0 to the Warriors. The Chiefs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Warriors earlier this season, when they won  2-0.
 North Myrtle Beach couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Wando a tough time in the first set. The final score came out to 34-32,  25-14.

 Despite the  loss, North Myrtle Beach had strong showings from  Mikayla Altena, who  had 30  assists and 11  digs, and  Katlyn Powers, who  had ten  digs. Altena is  crushing it when it comes to assists: she's   posted at least 12 every time she's  taken the court this season.
 Wando's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Violet Poole, who  had 15  digs and five  assists. That's the most  digs  Poole has posted  over her last 14  contests.  Bella Spraul was another key player,  getting 16  kills and one  block.
This is the second loss in a row for North Myrtle Beach and  nudges their season record down to 32-5. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 30-7 Nation Ford (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 79% over those games). As for Wando, they pushed their record up to 30-9 with the  win, which was their ninth straight  at home.
 North Myrtle Beach didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  match,  a  3-1  victory against Lucy Beckham on the 16th. As for Wando, they have also already played their next matchup,  a  2-1  defeat against Nation Ford on the 11th.
