Baseball Recap: Splendora Comes Up Short

Splendora was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 18-1 to the Kingwood Park Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 11-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2018.

Splendora saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon Brewer, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Chance Boehm also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Splendora's defeat dropped their record down to 15-12. As for Kingwood Park, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-6-1 record this season.

While Splendora had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
