Softball Recap: Touchet Comes Up Short

Touchet might've scored the first runs on Wednesday, but it was Dayton who claimed the real prize. The Redhawks came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 26-16. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-1 back in March.

This is the second loss in a row for Touchet and nudges their season record down to 0-2. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 8.5 runs this season. As for Dayton, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-2.

Looking ahead, Touchet will face off against Non Varsity Opponent at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Dayton, they will challenge Colton at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
