Recap: Triplains/Brewster Titans vs. Golden Plains Bulldogs
After flying high against the Heartland Christian Crusaders last Tuesday, the Triplains/Brewster Titans came back down to earth. Triplains/Brewster suffered a rough 68-47 loss at the hands of Golden Plains on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Triplains/Brewster has suffered since December 5, 2023.
Several Titans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Carson Schmidt, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Koda Kvasnicka, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Leading Golden Plains to victory were Josh Rath and Dylan Wark. Rath scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and six steals, while Wark scored 21 points along with six assists and four steals. Rath continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Miguel Garcia, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Triplains/Brewster's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Golden Plains, their victory bumped their record up to 3-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Triplains/Brewster will take on Wallace County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Golden Plains, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Quinter at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Quinter focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Saturday.
