Basketball Game Preview: Minneapolis Southwest Lakers vs. Washburn Millers

The Minneapolis Southwest Lakers will venture away from home to face off against the Washburn Millers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Minneapolis Southwest knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matches -- so hopefully Washburn likes a good challenge.

Last Wednesday, Minneapolis Southwest blew past Edison, posting a 79-38 win. The Lakers haven't had any issues with the Tommies recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Washburn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 71-69 heartbreaker at the hands of North Community.

Minneapolis Southwest's win bumped their record up to 10-12. As for Washburn, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-12.

Minneapolis Southwest skirted past Washburn 65-62 when the teams last played back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Minneapolis Southwest since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
