Jeffersonville stuns No. 8 Fishers 67-66 in overtime, in Indiana Class 4A state title game to snap 43-game win-streak

Four-star Northwestern signee Tre Singleton finished with 26 points, five rebounds and four assists to guide Red Devils to first state title since 1993.

Jeffersonville (Ind.) stunned No. 8 Fishers (Ind.) 67-66 in overtime Saturday in the Indiana Class 4A state championship to capture the program's second state championship. The upset also snapped the Tigers' 43-game winning streak.

Four-star Northwestern signee Tre Singleton was the catalyst for the Red Devils as he finished with 26 points, five rebounds and four assists. However, it was a layup from junior guard Elijah Cheeks with 32 seconds remaining that was the difference that led Jeffersonville to the one-point victory and a first state championship since 1993.

Fishers jumped ahead 11-8 at the end of the first quarter before Jeffersonville (24-5) turned things around and led 30-24 at the half. Jeffersonville maintained a narrow 45-42 lead heading into the fourth quarter.

Senior Taylor University commit Nathan Baker knocked down a big-time 3-pointer from the right corner with 3:30 remaining in the fourth period to cut the Fishers' deficit to 54-52 with 3:30 remaining.

Singleton responded on the other end in the post before sophomore Cooper Zachary knocked down another 3-pointer for Fishers to cut their deficit to 56-55.

Singleton again responded around the basket before sophomore Jason Gardner finished in traffic to cut the deficit back to one-point with 1:49 to play in the fourth.

Gardner continued the momentum on the next play as a Zachary steal led to an and-one for Gardner to give Fishers a 60-58 advantage with 1:03 remaining in the fourth period.



Wright State pledge Michael Cooper had the answer for Jeffersonville to tie things up at 60 with 25.3 seconds to go in the fourth quarter. Although both teams had a chance at a game-winning shots in the final seconds, neither converted.

After Cooper knocked down a pair of free throws to give Jefferson a 65-63 advantage with 1:27 remaining in the extra session, Indiana Wesleyan University commit Millen Mccartney knocked down a 3-pointer from the top of the key to give Fishers a 66-65 lead with 1:06 to go in the extra period.

Cooper finished with 15 points, two rebounds and two assists while senior guard Shawn Boyd chipped in 11 points in the win.

Fishers (30-1) suffered its first loss since Jan. 27, 2024, but the Tigers saw strong efforts from Gardner and Miami of Ohio commit Justin Kirby with 15 points apiece.
