Basketball Game Preview: Rawlins Outlaws vs. Kemmerer Rangers

The Rawlins Outlaws will take on the Kemmerer Rangers in a holiday battle at 2:40 p.m. on Thursday. Kemmerer took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Rawlins, who comes in off a win.

Rawlins took a 28-point loss the last time they faced off against Lander Valley, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Outlaws narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Tigers 50-48.

Rawlins got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was David York out in front who went 6-for-9 en route to 12 points and seven rebounds. The dominant performance also gave York a new career-high in assists (two). Another player making a difference was Austin White, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 14 boards.

Kemmerer kicked off their season on the road on Saturday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 59-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Manila. The Rangers have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Rawlins' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Kemmerer, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
