Softball Recap: Thomas Jefferson vs. Covenant Christian Academy Lions
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against De La Salle, Thomas Jefferson was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Covenant Christian Academy Lions 12-11. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Thomas Jefferson considering their one-run performance the match before.
Celeste Ward was incredible, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. Thi Nichols also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.
Thomas Jefferson kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
