King Soloman Hamilton Puts an End to Franklin's Losing Streak on Thursday

Thanks in part to King Soloman Hamilton, Franklin said goodbye to their seven-game losing streak dating back to last season. On Thursday Soloman Hamilton threw for 222 yards and four touchdowns on only 17 passes, and also rushed for 33 yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

Franklin's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. Soloman Hamilton and Franklin will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Grant at 7:00 p.m. on October 25th.

While Sam Ribner delivered a dominant performance on Thursday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Cleveland. Ribner was dynamite, rushing for 90 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries, while also throwing for 190 yards and two touchdowns.

Cleveland is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5. Ribner and Cleveland will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Ida B. Wells at 7:00 p.m. on October 25th.

Cash Landau produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Franklin to the win on Thursday. Landau picked up 108 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

Unfortunately for Cleveland, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Landau. Landau picked up 206 receiving yards and three touchdowns the last time he and the Warriors duked it out back in September of 2023.
