Passaic Valley strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They walked away with a 4-1 win over the Lakeland Regional Lancers. The Hornets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lancers, too.

Passaic Valley's victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average this season. As for Lakeland Regional, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Passaic Valley will square off against Passaic at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lakeland Regional, they will challenge Indian Hills at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. The Lancers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Braves have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season.
