Volleyball Recap: Kaylie Church Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Cumberland

Sparta won the last time they faced Cumberland and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Spartans narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Beavers 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Spartans have posted since August 29, 2024.

Sparta's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kaylie Church, who had 16 assists and five digs. That's the most assists Church has posted since back in October of 2024.

Sparta now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Cumberland, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
