Soccer Game Preview: Lyman vs. Lake Mary

The Lyman Greyhounds will venture away from home to take on the Lake Mary Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Lyman's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Friday just wasn't the day for Lyman's offense. They fell just short of Winter Springs by a score of 1-0 on Friday. That's two games in a row now that the Greyhounds have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lake Mary). Their defense stepped up to hand Lake Howell an 8-0 shutout on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Rams considering their one-goal performance the match before.

Lyman's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3-5. As for Lake Mary, they now have a winning record of 7-6-2.

Lyman beat Lake Mary 2-0 in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lyman since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
