St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse suffers third straight loss on the road

Recap: St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse vs. Tekoa-Rosalia Timberwolves

St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fifth straight loss. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 49-37 defeat to Tekoa-Rosalia. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse in their matchups with Tekoa-Rosalia: they've now lost six in a row.

Several St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Landen Miller, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Matthew DeFord, who scored 11 points.

Isaac Bone continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Tekoa-Rosalia, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it 13 consecutive games in which Bone has scored at least a third of Tekoa-Rosalia's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brian Place, who scored four points along with six rebounds and two steals.

St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse's defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-5. As for Tekoa-Rosalia, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse will square off against Garfield-Palouse at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Tekoa-Rosalia, they will head out on the road to face off against Colton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Colton has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 16.
