Basketball Recap: Red Bud Takes a Loss

After flying high against East Alton-Wood River last Tuesday, Red Bud came back down to earth. The Red Bud Musketeers took a 55-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chester Yellowjackets on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Musketeers of the 39-31 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February.

Red Bud's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Chester, the win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 4-7.

Red Bud and Goreville will round out the year against one another at at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Goreville's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matches. As for Chester, they will square off against Roxana at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
