Volleyball Game Preview: Sierra Chieftains vs. Fowler Redcats

Sierra is a perfect 7-0 against Fowler since September of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Chieftains will host the Redcats at 5:30 p.m. Sierra will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

On Thursday, Sierra earned a 3-1 win over Caruthers.

The victory didn't come easy: Caruthers scored at least 19 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 21-25, 25-19, 27-25.

Nicole Gibson was the offensive standout of the match as she had 18 assists and 12 digs. That's the most assists she has posted since back in August.

Meanwhile, Fowler came up short against Chowchilla on Thursday and fell 3-1. The Redcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-15, 17-25, 25-16, 25-12.

Fowler's defeat dropped their record down to 17-12-1. As for Sierra, their win bumped their record up to 30-11.

Everything went Sierra's way against Fowler when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as Sierra made off with a 3-0 victory. Will the Chieftains repeat their success, or do the Redcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
