Basketball Recap: Northern Durham Picks Up Third Consecutive Win + How To Watch

Northern Durham strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came out on top against the Cedar Ridge Fighting Red Wolves by a score of 44-33. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 36-27 last Friday.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Northern Durham to victory, but perhaps none more so than Layla Sims, who posted 16 points. Sims' evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Oliva Sims, who had 11 points.

Despite the loss, Cedar Ridge had strong showings from Ava Smith, who scored six points and three steals, and Jamee Watson, who put up nine points.

Northern Durham's record is now 3-0. As for Cedar Ridge, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coincidentally, Northern Durham and Cedar Ridge will both be playing Williams the next time they take the court. The Fighting Red Wolves will head out to face the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on the 1st, while the Knights will host them at 6:30 p.m. on the 4th.
