After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Horn, Mesquite was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Lancaster Tigers 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Skeeters: when they faced off against the Tigers back in August, they had to take a 2-0 defeat.

Mesquite was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-12, 16-25, 25-16, 15-11.

Mesquite's victory bumped their record up to 7-12. As for Lancaster, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-16 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Mesquite is set to square off against their familiar foe Waxahachie at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Lancaster will take on rival DeSoto at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
