Soccer Recap: Lyons Picks Up Tenth Consecutive Victory

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Lyons had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Oak Park-River Forest Huskies a 3-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Lyons, who have now won nine matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

Zibby Michaelson and Avery Lusk scored all three of Lyons' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 19 goals.

The victory (which was Lyons' tenth in a row) raised their record to 17-2-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up four goals over those ten matches. As for Oak Park-River Forest, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8-2.
