Volleyball Recap: Copper Hills Victorious

Copper Hills won the last time they faced Layton and things went their way on Thursday too. The Grizzlies had just enough and edged out the Lancers 3-2.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Copper Hills who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-22, 13-25, 26-24, 15-25, 15-6.

Katarina Kovacevic paced Copper Hills' offense, picking up ten kills. Kovacevic got some help from Paige Jensen and her 30 assists. Kovacevic was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Copper Hills' first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Layton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Looking ahead, Copper Hills will be playing at home against Lehi at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Layton, they will head out on the road to take on West Field at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
