Volleyball Recap: South Glens Falls Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Mia Newell and Grace Smith + How To Watch

South Glens Falls was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Queensbury Spartans, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bulldogs have suffered against the Spartans since October 11, 2022.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Queensbury scored at least 20 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-22, 25-20.

Grace Smith and Mia Newell certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Smith had 11 assists and ten digs, while Newell had ten digs. Reese Marry also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

South Glens Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 2-4-3. As for Queensbury, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

South Glens Falls has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Amsterdam on the 18th. As for Queensbury, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Schuylerville on the 18th.
