Basketball Recap: North Sanpete Takes a Loss

North Sanpete lost against Carbon back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The North Sanpete Hawks fell 70-61 to the Carbon Dinos. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

It was another big night for Cannon Mortensen, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 15 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals for Carbon. The team also got some help courtesy of Jakson Bosone, who posted seven points along with five assists and five boards.

North Sanpete's record now sits at 3-9. As for Carbon, they moved to 4-12 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the North Sanpete Hawks duke it out with the Canyon View Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Carbon, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Juab at 7:00 p.m. Carbon is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.2 points per game this season.
