Soccer Recap: Clawson Has No Trouble Against Avondale

Clawson barely beat Avondale the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Trojans put the hurt on the Yellowjackets with a sharp 5-2 victory on Thursday. The high-scoring effort was just what Clawson needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Clawson is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-8-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those four contests. As for Avondale, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clawson will square off against Lake Shore at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Avondale, they will challenge Stoney Creek at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
