            Lafayette Jefferson dropped their record down to 11-7 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They fell  5-1 to the Harrison Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  8-2  on Tuesday.
Lafayette Jefferson got a good showing from  Trysten Barrett, who   tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit.
 At the plate, Lafayette Jefferson saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Alonzo Clawson-Smith, who  went 2-for-3 with one  run and one  double. That  double was  Clawson-Smith's first of the season.
As for Harrison, the  victory was  the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-1. Those  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games.
On Harrison's side,  Chase Gothrup looked comfortable as he  didn't allow a single  earned run over four innings pitched. Gothrup has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  a single  earned run in five consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Nolan Hodnett was  excellent,  going 2-for-3 with one  stolen base, two  RBI,  and one  run. Another player making a difference was  Jack Gonzalez, who  went 2-for-3 with three  stolen bases.
 Coming up, Lafayette Jefferson will take on North Montgomery at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. As for Harrison, they are taking a road trip to  square off against Lafayette Central Catholic  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
